Raspberry Scones: Food Storage

So I didn't take a picture but I did want to give you an idea what they look like. Just think biscuits with raspberries. Made these tasty treats for FHE last night. Topped it with the left over cream rather than a glaze. My oh my my heart did a little dance... so did my stomach. The recipe I tried was from Shelf Reliance. It is a food storage recipe. It calls for apples but I wanted to try the freeze-dried raspberries I had just gotten.

  • c thrive 6 grain pancake mix
  • T thrive brown sugar
  • 1⁄4 t cinnamon
  • T heavy whipping cream
  • 1⁄2 c thrive apple chips or slices

Instructions

Rehydrate Apple Chips or slices. Mix all ingredients together. Add just enough cream to make a moist biscuit dough. Scoop dough onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 min depending on size of scone. Drizzle with glaze and serve.
Makes approx. 15 small scones or 8 larger scones
Opt: In place of apples and cinnamon use reconstituted Thrive blueberries, peaches, strawberries, apricots, or mangoes

Pumpkin Wafffles and Apple cider Sryup

Yes, this is the best and easiest meal ever.
Well, aside from Top Ramen. Pretty sure that doesn't count as a real meal though

I got apple cider LAST YEAR and as soon as it turned cold, I put some in my crock pot.
But then I had 3/4 gallon left over.
So now I had 2 cups of pumpkin I needed to use.
And then I ended up being awake at 6am on a Sunday morning.
That is all a recipe for yummy.
Go here to read and print the recipe.
And yes, that it is homemade whip cream on top.
We all had seconds.

Blueberry babies

These, I call Blueberry Babies because they are little like babies and they were eaten almost entirely bu my little baby!
So, here it is. I got the recipe from this cute gal I met online named Lauren.

Ingredients:
2-9 inch pre-rolled pie crusts (15 oz. package)
1/2 pint blueberries (6 oz.)
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon flour
2 teaspoons lemon juice (about 1/2 lemon, juiced)
water for sealing pie edges together
for the topping:
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 teaspoons lemon zest
for the Lemon Cream Cheese Dip:
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted
zest of 1 lemon (1/2 tablespoon)
2 teaspoons lemon juice
To figure out what to so with these yummy ingredients, you will have to go to her website.  I will say that I liked the pie crust but I think using a puff pastry would be nicer

THE Cinnamon rolls I sent you a picture of

My ladies and their families,

as promised, here is the recipe for the cinnamon rolls that will make you rob a bank to keep your pantry full of supplies. Click here. Obviously the coffee is omitted. You can use orange jam/marmalade and orange juice to change it from cinnamon rolls to orange rolls.
